A carers assessment is available to anyone who gives support you couldn't manage without. It looks at the wellbeing of the person providing care. It also looks at how we can support them.
Anyone who is providing unpaid care will eb offered a careers assessment. Your worker would meet with them to have this discussion.
Having a carers assessment isn’t mandatory.
If you would like respite care, sitting services or day care to be considered, you would need to have a carers assessment.
