Neighbourhood housing and tenancy

Guide to how we manage tenancies

Neighbourhood housing team

Our Neighbourhood Housing team focuses on supporting our tenants and making sure estates are well-maintained. Your Neighbourhood Housing Officer carries out new tenant visits, routine tenancy home visits and regular estate walkabouts in your area to get to know the community.  If a tenant needs additional support, they can refer them to other council services and external organisations who can help.

Our team includes three Neighbourhood Managers and 21 Neighbourhood Officers. The officers are organised by ward, most wards have one officer some have two and a few have three due to the size of the ward.

You can contact your Neighbourhood Housing Officer at any time. If you aren’t sure who yours is, call 0345 2000 102 or email neighbourhoodhousing@northtyneside.gov.uk
