Training

Staff receive regular refresher training in relation to equality and diversity, safeguarding, domestic abuse and other relevant training courses, e.g. the use of professional curiosity. This training assists staff to recognise potential signs of vulnerability such as (not exhaustive):

  • signs of self-neglect and hoarding – e.g. change in persons appearance or behaviour
  • erratic rent payments when the person has been a regular payer
  • being a victim of domestic abuse or hate crime e.g. reluctance to open the door
