North Tyneside Employment and Skills consists of a number of key services including:
- Adult Learning Service delivers study programmes, apprenticeships and adult learning courses for residents.
- Careers and Employability Service - Connexions North Tyneside provides Careers Education and Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) to young people. We have a team of Employment Advisers supporting unemployed adults to overcome barriers to employment and move into the labour market.
Working Well North Tyneside
A one-stop-shop to make it easier for people to access employment, health and skills support. From the latest information on the jobs market to wellbeing advice and building confidence.
This service is delivered by North Tyneside Council in partnership with the NHS, Department for Work and Pensions, the community and voluntary sector and local employers.
The main hubs are located in the Beacon Centre in North Shields and on the first floor of the Community Hub in Wallsend.
Drop-in sessions also take place across the week in the White Swan Centre, Killingworth; John Willie Sams, Dudley; Cedarwood Trust; Whitley Bay Big Local; Whitley Bay Library; Forest Hall Library; and the Oxford Centre, Longbenton.
