Road resurfacing

Where roads will be improved

We recognise that the condition of roads and pavements is a priority for residents.

Roads are resurfaced when lower layers are damaged to the point that they need to be replaced. The damaged layers are removed and new material is laid.

Micro-asphalt provides a new surface and seals the underlying road. This prevents the intrusion of water, a major cause of deterioration. It is a preventative treatment, extending the life of the road and avoiding the need for much costlier road replacements further down the line.
