Poverty intervention

NTSP partnership for poverty intervention

The Poverty Intervention Partnership Board emerged in 2022 and holds responsibility for the development, implementation and delivery of the Healthy Standard of Living for All strand of the Equally Well Strategy. The Board represents a diverse group of organisations who are interested in working together to alleviate poverty and it’s impacts. The Board helps us to understand the experience of, and issues faced by, people of all age groups. This includes children and young people and ensures that this lived experience is reflected in the work we do.

The priorities of the Board include:

  • Helping people on low incomes maximise their income and minimise their costs
  • Strengthening families and communities, including supporting groups of people that are more likely to experience poverty.
  • Promoting an inclusive economy, by raising skills and improving access to a range of employment opportunities for people on low incomes
  • Improving health
