North Tyneside Council has launched the Our North Tyneside Plan for 2025–2030, a shared vision for an even better Borough.
It is shaped by the voices of residents, communities, and partners through the Big Community Conversation and built on the commitments of the Elected Mayor Karen Clark, first set out in May 2025.
The Plan sets out five ambitions, each with clear priorities for delivery over the next four years. They are: Better Lives for All, The Best Start in Life, Places to Be Proud Of, Good Work and Economic Growth, and Housing and Neighbourhoods that Enhance Lives.
Elected Mayor Karen Clark said: “This plan is about making people’s lives better at every stage, from their homes to their neighbourhoods, from their health and wellbeing to their skills and opportunities. It focuses on fairness, inclusion, and ambition because North Tyneside deserves nothing less.
“We know we are working in the context of real financial challenges, but that makes it even more important to get the most out of every pound we spend. We will use resources wisely, targeting them where they are needed most and where they can have the greatest impact and benefit for our residents.
“I care deeply about making sure everyone has the same chances to thrive, whether that’s a child starting school, a young person looking for their first job, or an older person who needs to feel safe and supported. This plan is rooted in the voice of our community and what people tell us is important to them. Together, we will make North Tyneside an even better borough.”
