Suspending an on street parking bay
We will suspend the use of parking bays for specific reasons. We will consider applications for:
- building operations
- domestic removals
- weddings, funerals or special events
- delivery of goods taking longer than the permitted time
- vehicles essential to filming operations
The cost is £10 per day, per bay (a standard bay is 5.5m). Please don't make a payment until we confirm that the application has been approved.
You must apply at least 5 working days before the suspension starts.
Suspending bays within a car park or full car park
We will suspend a car park in part or in full provided the suspension will not have an adverse effect on the vitality of the surrounding area.
The cost of suspending:
- a parking bay in a free car park subject to a time restriction is £5 per day, per bay
- a full car park, which operates free of charge, is £5 per day per capacity of the car park
- a parking bay in a charged car park is £6 per day, per bay
- a full car park subject to charge is £6 per day per capacity of the car park
