Purpose
The Children and Young People’s Partnership is committed to creating a borough where all young people are valued, respected, lead healthy lives, fulfil their potential and are protected from harm. The partnership is responsible for ensuring delivery of the Children and Young People’s (CYP) Plan.
As a partnership we will collectively focus on priority themes that children, young people and their families tell us matter most to them – ensuring that all children and young people are safe, happy, healthy and able to achieve in North Tyneside
The partnership is also responsible for providing learners of all ages with access to high quality education and training, irrespective of where they live in the borough. Providers work in partnership to co-ordinate action to address cradle-to-grave learning issues; and encourage wider participation in education and training.
Vision
“Making North Tyneside an even greater place for children and young people to thrive; where all, including those who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or disabled, are ready for school, ready for work and life, cared for and supported.”
To deliver this vision, the Partnership has set four priorities that children and young people in North Tyneside will live:
- a safe life
- a happy life
- a healthy life, and
- are able to achieve
Children and Young People’s Plan.
The CYP Plan is key to delivering the priorities set out within the Our North Tyneside Plan linked to ‘a family-friendly North Tyneside’ and ‘a caring
North Tyneside’. The CYP Partnership also takes lead responsibility for delivering on two key objectives within the Health and Wellbeing Strategy; delivering on a ‘best start in life’ and ‘maximising capabilities’.
The Plan outlines the Children, Young People Partnership Board's priorities for enhancing children's services and improving outcomes for children, young people and families, particularly those most vulnerable.
