Ready for School Pack

Help your child get excited about starting school by borrowing our Ready for school bag Each bag contains specially chosen stories to share, exploring what it’s like to go to ‘big’ school.

Over and Over Collection

Order your Over & Over collection of books from North Tyneside Schools Library Service.

Schools and Nurseries with an SLS subscription can order an Over & Over pack containing 15 titles. 

Contact us by email, telephone, or come and choose your own books. 

We stock a huge range of quality popular picture books perfect for reading aloud and can provide multiple copies of titles.

Why subscribe to SLS?

We save you money

Books are exchanged regularly ensuring you are continuously supplied with high quality, up to date books.

We assess the suitability of the resources and compile your project books and resources for you.

Our team are always on hand to give you advice on books or artefacts to support your needs.

Provide access to author visits

Through regular book festivals and working with publishing contacts we bring authors to the region.

Subscriptions

Choose from a wide range of fiction and non-fiction, class sets, artefacts, resource packs, multi-sensory books and lots more.

Schools can choose from four different subscription packages:

  • Level 1 - 150 items at one time, £362
  • Level 2 - 400 items at one time, £690
  • Level 3 - 700 items at one time, £1,123
  • Level 4 - 1000 items at a time, £1,496

Level 4 subscriptions include:

  • Deliveries: project boxes are delivered every term to and from your school
  • Reading for Pleasure Collection (by request)
  • Discounted author visits

School projects

These are compiled by SLS Librarians to meet the specific requirements of individual teachers and will include any combination of non-fiction or fiction books, and other resources including ‘big books’, artefacts, picture packs and multimedia items as appropriate.
