Potholes May 2021 - February 2025

  1. The total number of outstanding potholes currently reported on roads under the control of the council.

    The systems used by the Authority are unable to produce a report which details potholes solely.
    On 17 February 2025 there were 47 road repairs outstanding, the majority of which are expected to be pothole repairs.

     

  2. A breakdown of these potholes by road type or road category (for example, A roads, B roads, C roads, and unclassified roads).
    This part of the request is refused under Regulation 12(4)(a) of the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. The reason for this is the Authority does not record defects by road category.

     

  3. The total number of potholes that have been successfully repaired on roads under the control of the local authority since 1 May 2021.
    The systems used by the Authority are unable to produce a report which details potholes solely.
    Between 1 May 2021 and 17 February 2025, 4,648 road repairs were completed. It is expected the majority of these will have been pothole repairs.

     

  4. And if available, please provide this information broken down by year and road type/category (for example, A roads, B roads, C roads, and unclassified roads).
