Road defects that are identified during routine inspections or reported by customers are funded from reactive maintenance budgets. As of 13th January 2025 there were 40 outstanding job cards for reactive road repairs. The majority of these will be for pothole repairs. The council also undertakes larger scale full resurfacing schemes using capital budgets which naturally will address other potholes but these are not recorded.
